I'm currently involved with a Netherlands-led contribution during the Year of Polar Prediction (YOPP), working with a multi-team, multidisciplinary project that aims to develop Arctic climate forecast products tailored to key social, environmental and economic needs (salienseas.com). Previously, I was a researcher at the University of Alaska Fairbanks focusing on the resilience of Arctic social-ecological systems and planning for healthy, sustainable Arctic communities.

My interests include climate change adaptation and coastal & marine governance, and the tools that can support decision making under risks & uncertainties. To this end I explore foresight methodologies and interactive agent-based simulations and role-playing games to inform resource management decisions.

Key research Interests: climate change, risks, foresight, resilience & adaptation, Arctic policy
