Postdocoral Researcher, Hakai Institute

I am an ethnobotanist and ethnoecologist. My current research interests are mostly focused on understanding the range of social and ecological situations in which humans interact with their environment, especially in the context of climate and environmental changes. Specifically, I am interested in how humans observe and react to environmental changes and in finding practical solutions to various social-ecological problems. In my current research, I am collecting observations of and adaptations to climate change with subsistence-oriented communities at a local level in Central Coast of British Columbia and contextualizing these observations using data at a global level.

Key research Interests: Ethnobotany, Ethnoecology, Climate Change, Vulnerability, Resilience, Adaptations
