Allyson Quinlan: new case studies added to workbook wiki Jun 04, 2008 11:13:12
Hello All,

This is just a quick note to bring your attention to two new case studies
that were voluntarily added to the Resilience Assessment workbook wiki
recently (see http://wiki.resalliance.org/index.php/Case_studies) .

If anyone on this list would like to contribute a case study to the wiki and
would like some assistance, feel free to contact me. Also, there is no
required format for the case studies and including links to relevant
documents or websites would be useful.

Best regards,

Allyson Quinlan

I don't think downloads of the Resilience 2008 conference videos are
possible but I've been told they will likely remain on the website for one
year.

Thank you Allyson. Hope to see the examples and experiences described soon on the wiki. Allyson on another note. The panel video sessions from the conference on the website are interesting since I was not able to attend. How long are they gonna remain on the site? I would love to go back to them from time to time. Can you allow downloads?

Cheers

Hi Kemraj,

I know now that there are dozens of people who have used the resilience
assessment workbooks and who are interested in learning about other people's
experience with the workbooks as well. Since the Resilience conference in
Stockholm a couple of weeks ago I've been catching up on some other work but
starting this week I will be contacting the people I've spoken with
individually and asking them to share their thoughts on the workbooks either
via this email group or on the wiki (http://wiki.resalliance.org) or both.

There is a new section on the wiki where anyone (this includes everyone
reading this email!) can add an example or case study of their own, complete
with links to other websites or reference materials. You need to register
on the wiki to add/edit content and then simply go to the examples or case
study pages and follow the very simple instructions.

Your message Kemraj will help to get this process started so thank-you!
There are just over 60 people on this email list and I imagine many of you
have an example to contribute and hopefully the wiki can provide a forum for
sharing this information, getting feedback, and helping to grow a community
of people interested in resilience assessments.

Cheers,

Allyson

Hello colleagues

Any updates on experience(s0 in using the resilience assessment workbooks? I
am looking at governance of fisheries. I am using the first part of the
workbook to describe the SES and then bringing in network analysis to
uncover characteristics of resilience adaptive capacity and transformation.
I am still developing my research methodology.

Any info, guidance will be most welcomed.

Cheers

unknown: getting the resilience assessment dialog started Feb 21, 2008 15:11:08
Hello All,

Fifteen minutes from opening the resilience assessment dialogue (RAD) there
are already 10 subscribers! I thought I`d send this first message in part
as a test but also simply to get things rolling.

I`m looking into arranging for an informal workbook session at the upcoming
resilience conference in Stockholm and will report back. If anyone is
planning to attend the conference and is interested in attending an informal
workbook session please let me know. I`ll send any further details out via
this list (and the PRD).

Best,

Allyson
